Unit 4: Time Travel Brochures

Congratulations!!!
 You have been selected to become the world’s very first time traveler. You and a partner have won an all expense paid vacation to Ancient Egypt. 
Yes, Ancient Egypt! 
As the winner of this extraordinary journey you will first need to decide which one of the Ancient Egyptian Kingdoms you would like to visit: the Old, Middle, or New Kingdom!

Directions: 
Create a Brochure describing the Kingdom you traveled to.
Step 1:
Select what Kingdom you will travel to. 
***Only 4 groups per Kingdom***

Step 2: 
Use the 4-Square graphic organizer to record your research.
Use multiple sources

Step 3:
Use the information on your graphic organizer to write a paragraph about the pharaohs. Edit and revise your paragraph with your partner.
Step 4:
Use the information on your graphic organizer to write a paragraph about daily life. Edit and revise your paragraph with your partner.

Step 5:
Use the information from your graphic organizer to create bulleted lists for the other topics.
Step 6:
Create a list of some of the most importnat dynasties in order. Include Names and Dates.
Step7:
Decide what images you will include. Sketch out your images on note paper, or print images from home.
Step 8:
Using lined notebook paper plan out the arrangement for your brochure.

Step 9:
Begin your final Brochure
  • Carefully Fold your paper in thirds.
  • Use pencil First to write on your title and topic Headings.
  • Use pencil to write in your lists of bullets and other information.
  • Type your two paragraphs on the computer.
Checkpoint 
  • Cut out your paragraphs and glue them on your brochure in the designated spot.
  • Go over your pencil lines with marker, pen, or colored pencil.
  • Complete your final illustrations
  • Check over Brochure and submit it for final evaluation
